For $39 a month I couldn’t log into my account to watch on my iPad no matter how hard I tried. There seems to be a software issue. Also, without notice after the trial period ended, I was charged for another month. I immediately tried calling YouTube’s office to try to get it cancelled, but the office was closed over the long Christmas holiday weekend. I called on the first day they were to be open, but still got the voicemail that they get were closed over the holiday. This went on for days. So, nobody was ever available. You also cannot unsubscribe on the app, so you have to research that. I deleted the app. Way too expensive and without being able to watch on my iPad, pointless. I tired, but found the app to be a frustrating waste of my time and $$. Wish I could get my money back.

So far I’ve had no issues with the app or with casting to the AppleTV or Chromecast. I just wish that Google would get NBC Tampa on board. I love that it picks up the local stations when I travel! Next steps - more stations including local. Not quite up to Vue or DirectTV Now. Also, an AppleTV, AndroidTV, Roku, etc app so that you don’t have to cast from your phone while at home.

So I love the app. That being said, it’s not the clearest stream I’ve seen. Nope not my internet provider-already checked. Anyway, I do love it, reminds me of cable tv. I need to cancel the free trial subscription until next month. I had to contact Apple support and next the bank to be sure I won’t be charged for it. This is the most difficulty i have ever had trying to cancel some subscription. So great app, but why does it have to be so dang hard to cancel when you are supposedly allowed to “cancel anytime”? Hmmm.... no thanks.

Great app. The best streaming quality, great selection, and smart and seamless design.

You have to delete, then reinstall the app so that you can CAST to your device. The device does not list every time. MORE than aggravating.

There is no reason in the world you cannot cancel your cable run chrome cast to your TV and watch anything you want to on your TV this is an amazing app that is going to save a lot of people a lot of money cable is a rip off don’t be taken by their fancy commercials claiming to give you discounts after a certain amount of time cable is a rip off!!!!

I tried to download a trial to You Tube Tv. Unknowingly did not realize it would not work on ROKU! Can’t call a human being. Ripped me off of $40.00!!! Others have complained about this too! Time for me to ditch apple! I will still charged for services I can’t receive!!! Rip off!!! I’m done with Apple

The streaming and channel selection has been good. Easy to cast to TV if you have a chrome cast. One annoying glitch is when watching a show with about 15-20 mins left it starts streaming from the beginning of the show again. When you exit out of the show and try to restart it and fast forward to the previous spot you’re forced to watch all the commercials again before getting to watch where you left off. Super annoying and hopefully a fix will be applied soon.

The app is a touch glitchy with my older appleTv. Closed caption function won’t turn off. Wish apple would put a widget on the appletv so I didn’t need to mirror my phone.

I received a response from YouTube and Apple based on my original one star review. It was an FAQ that did not help with my problem with this app. I have to delete the app and download it anytime I want to use chrome cast. This seems to me like a simple problem to fix with an update to the app. I am giving you to have an apple a month to figure that out at which point I will stop paying for a service that is this inconvenient to access

Why does YouTube live not work in my area?!? ?

When watching TV shows on my phone, it’s great (except I️ have to watch commercials which it seems should not be since I’m paying for the service). But when watching through a connection from my phone to my Apple TV, it’s really difficult to get through the ads. When each ad loads, some of them simply won’t load. I️ have to do jumping jacks and jump through hoops to get it to load ads. I’m hoping it is just because I️ don’t have the latest Apple TV box. Not sure. Over all, I’m glad I️ can record shows instead of waiting until they show up on Netflix a year later.

Get ready for ads, ads and more ads. Pure torture while trying to watch a single show. No thanks.

Love this app! Best thing ever since normal TV but pls add an app for Roku!

I recently switched from Sling to YoutubeTV because I was missing out on local network stations (sling does not offer ABC, NBC, CBS etc. in my area). The interface is much nicer than Sling and playback has been way less glitchy. I only gave 4 stars because they don’t have an Apple TV app. Airplay works fine, just looking forward to a streamlined, one device interface.

Wish you could zoom in to full screen on x but still great for streaming

Save your money. $35 I was told per month. My credit card was going to be charged $39.99 with no notice. Pure commercials non stop .. not worth it.
