I like the app the, how you can record unlimited shows and movie it’s great but sometimes when you are watching and you cast it to my tv through google chrome cast it just happen that when I try to fast forward I have to disconnect it and connect it back to the tv in order to work. Love the app but i think if you put a show to record, it should already give you all seasons and episodes that had been released

Very good app
It’s not perfect, but this app does about anything you can ask for. It lets you watch your program, look through what’s on live, and changes between programs almost seamlessly. I gave it 4 stars because the one thing it needs is a program guide. Currently if you want to know what’s going to be on later tonight you must start each channel and scroll through each channel to see what’s on later. It would be 5 Stars if a channel guide could be added. Right now it’s cumbersome.
Like the idea, but the app is awful
Constant issues. Keeps getting worse. The integration between the Chromecast and app is horrible. Every time you try to change channels or fast forward or basically do anything you have to restart the app and reconnect. The idea of YouTube tv is great but needing to us your phone or iPad to control everything is awful.
Good idea but very pixelated on 4K and 1080 TVs
Good ideas. I thought it might be a good option to satellite or cable. But the live television option is to pixelated for $35. The DVR option is cool, movie collection is also cool but lots of commercials for my liking. Trial period is almost over. Wish the trial was a month instead to see if my wife could learn and get more comfortable with the tablet use of it.
YouTube TV should replace GP Movies & TV
What if this app replaces Google Play Movies & TV? So, at the bottom you have 4 or 5 tabs: Live, Shows, Movies, Trailers, Wishlist. ‘Live’, would only be available for those who are subscribed.
Way to expensive
YouTube no longer allows casting to the fire stick. Would be better if you can chose the channels for a fee. I finally figured out how to cancel my subscription. I’ll stay with free TV
Good, very buggy
Constant issues streaming to TV, both on Chromecast and Apple TV. Very frustrating. If fixed would be a superior service
YouTubeTV
PROS: you get your local channels, the staple channels such as ABC CBS NBC FOX etc. and a variety of sports channels. CONS: we have experienced CONSTANT problems despite the fact that we have high speed internet such as not being able to change channels because it will change on the phone but not on the TV and then no longer pulls up the TV to cast to so we are left to uninstall & reinstall the app EVERY time and programs not playing just to name a couple. Also not a very wide variety of channels to choose from. While you have options to choose from for sports, theres a deficiency to offer popular alternatives like possibly HGTV, GSN, Lifetime, Hallmark or any type of cooking channels. So when comparing pricing and channels offered with dish networks, its really not worth the trouble to pay the same or comparable for less channels and less conveniences so Im glad a free trial was offered to know what the service would be like before buying, although Ive heard canceling is just as difficult.
Great way to cut the cord for adults
Great channels including your local tv news, so far not too many blackouts. Not so great when you have young kids—you need a remote for them and for the babysitter. An old phone is a very expense remote. I wish this app was compatible with a firestick so that problem could be solved (or that chromecast offered one for purchase)
A lot of missed potential
The DVR options seem almost dishonest. I can record a show, but its beyond difficult to find the recorded version and not get the on-demand version that requires sitting through commercials. Even Comcast makes that pretty easy in their stream app (that hurt to say).
Do not download this app
I strongly urge you to save your money. There are countless way to stream you entertainment and this is the worst one.
Almost Perfect
Main problem is the Chromecast button dissapears constantly. The only way to fix this is to uninstall / reinstall. :( . This is not ever a problem on the normal youtube app.
YouTube TV
Works great! Equal to or better than my TWC cable box. I am cancelling my TWC TV service & just keeping my high speed internet. With the $35 cost for YouTube TV I am saving $60/ month.
YouTube TV
I just YouTube TV the live screen are crystal clear just like looking at a actual tv but the price is to high sure get for free not a monthly subscription price.
So far so good
I’ve been using YouTube TV now for a week and I read all kinds of reviews with connection problems but I have yet to face any of those problems. I have 100 mbps internet and have had zero issues. I have pushed to Apple TV, chromecast as well as Xbox one and have not had any issues with any of them. Would be nice to be able to add on a few more channels like mtv and hbo but other than that, I love it and its saving me about $100/ mo
Best alternative for Cable
We tried several other advertised platforms to replace our expensive Satellite/ Cable and found this to be the best for us. We get local news and sports along with several other channels. In addition we can record shows to watch later with no limit. We use this supplemented with Netflix and are very happy.
Excellent App! Video quality can be better.
Overall, I enjoy this app. I’ve recently deleted my DirectTV app and my NBA LEAGUE PASS app because YouTubeTV has improved its video playback quality. This app has all the channels I watch, as well as it’s very organized and intuitive. I’m able to quickly navigate to my favorite shows in a matter of seconds. I also love the fact that YouTubeTV automatically record the shows for you. The only improvement I-so-eagerly request is the continuous effort to make video quality better on sport programs. Sports as in soccer, basketball, football etc is very fast and so they’re often glitches and hesitations trying to keep up with the fast speed. Once they’re able to fix this problem - it will have no competitors (especially for sport fans).
disappointed/upset
i was really disappointed in the app work on my device they wont even let me sign in and i was really looking forward to using this app! ? i put my zip code in and it says that i live in washington dc when i live in georgia. so i cant even sign in!
Spotty, not ready for prime time
Nice to be able to access ESPN and some other basics without full cable, but we have 100 Mb+ internet and it still froze up regularly--and at the most inopportune moments... as in, say, touchdowns! Maybe sometime in the future, but its not ready for prime time yet.
