I initially kept opening on demand (required commercials) in the browser when I was clicking on my recorded shows. A response from their team says that my recordings are there. Maybe I missed it, maybe they fixed it... it does seem right now. Edit: in the browser, watching a ‘recorded’ show, from the library tab, just hit a wall of commercials I can’t skip past.

I saw this and got really excited — a perfect solution for those of us who are permanent travelers (RVers, for example) and won’t be near our registered address ever...but unfortunately, you can’t sign up unless you are physically at “home.” I was really hoping to be able to cancel DirectTV...please, guys and gals, consider the constant travelers among us and allow us to access, too — you are exactly what we’ve all been looking for, it’s really sad that we can’t use it. :(

I know this belongs to Google but crossovers between companies in terms of platforms and apps exist everywhere. I’m surprised this isn’t available on Apple TV yet.

I really enjoy the app. We really wanted to get rid of our cable bill. I wish you could include food network and Hgtv.

Over the experience is great. The app alerts constantly asking to setup notifications no matter what is setup. App Alert FIXED!!! Awesome!!! Thank you.... The other issue is the Application locks up. If you watch a tv show using wifi and pause it, then lock the phone. When you come back to the app and hit the play icon on the paused show the icon changes to a spinning icon to show like its cueing to play but its unable to continue playing and locks up the app to where you have to force close the entire app and restart it. A work around is making sure to always hit the + icon and save any program your going to want to come back and watch expecting to have to restart the app often.

This app works well. I have been using it for a few days now, and am very pleased.

This is a far superior tv service to Hulu tv however I have to restart my phone and chromecast several times a day to watch stuff. I enjoy the DVR, guide, movie selection, and not having to pay for Comcast very much! I cant give higher stars til they fix the bugs. I frequently have to disconnect and reconnect to chromecast just to unpause and then I loose my place. Its frustrating!!! Less than 30 seconds into an episode today and the app went unresponsive. Even with the buggy app I would still rather use this service then other streaming services, cable, or satellite. The guide needs work in letting you see whats on next. Also you cant save a program thats running without playing it first. Thats annoying if youre watching something and browsing the guide.

So many bugs when connecting to chromecast. It has the potential to be the best alternative to cable and dish, but still buggier than The Beatles.

January 8, 2018 Stuck on playing commercials. Don’t quit Comcast yet! Or if you do, don’t rely on this Google incompetent mess. You cannot fast-forward through commercials. You can on Comcast. Not Google. You think they spy on your browsing? Well use their app and get stuck watching commercials! *** Recorded movies and TV shows are not segregated. If you’re looking for a recorded movie you have to wade through all the TV programs too. Very sloppy. Very tedious. Google will never catch up to Apple at this rate. Apple knows how to do beautiful simple software. Google is 20 years behind.And moving at a crawl.

YouTube TV works poorly - constant buffering, quality intermittently drops to become a pixelated mess. Hulu, Netflix, Amazon, Vudu, and Sling TV all stream just fine on phone, tablet, Samsung Smart Hub and Roku on 15mbps Internet. YouTube TV is the only streaming service that has performance issues, and the performance is even worse when used with the Chromecast 2 device. I would recommend using YTTV with a faster internet connection. If that isn’t an option, try a service like Sling TV until Google is able to optimize its streaming performance.

I tried to download a trial to You Tube Tv. Unknowingly did not realize it would not work on ROKU! Can’t call a human being. Ripped me off of $40.00!!! Others have complained about this too! Time for me to ditch apple!

First, I can see why I’ve seen complaints from others. The on demand stuff is very glitchy. For example, after watching LA 92, the recording ended ~15 minutes early and restarted itself like it was on a loop. Many other OD videos have done the same thing. Second, ADD A DELETE VIDEO OPTION FOR STUFF THATS BEEN RECORDED! I DO NOT care that I have unlimited storage. I don’t want to have to scroll through a bunch of already viewed, or repeated recordings to find an episode I haven’t seen. Let’s use the “Simpsons” as an example. Enough said. Plus a lot of sports I record will air the game or race multiple times until the next competition. We users see this as laziness on the part of the developers to not have these simple tools in the app. (I know it’s not just me, I’ve been reading through forums in search for a delete option.) Aside from these criticisms, this is an awesome branch of YouTube. The fact that I am able to record my teams and watch them at my leisure is by far the best aspect. The amount of channels that you are offering is also dope! And for these reasons I will continue to tell others they should test this out for themselves. Hence the 4 stars!

This app works better than others. Does not have the problems of buffering other apps do. I was streaming football on ESPN app buffering every 5 seconds. I then switched to youtube TV and it worked awesome! No buffering no stuck pictures. I was on the same internet connection when using both. Strongly recommend the switch!

Hulu and Netflix apps work fine with Chromecast and never lose connection to the device but for months now the iPhone YouTube TV app consistently fails to maintain a link. The service is great but its practically worthless when casting to your Chromecast device from an iPhone.

I love the app and canceled my cable to use this specifically. But the screen cast is a glitchy nightmare. I have to uninstall/reinstall the app each time I want to screen cast it to my roku. Everything else about the app is great but this issue really needs to be fixed.

This app is well worth the money. High quality picture, all the channels I would need. Best part is that it is month to month, I can watch any NFL games that are one regardless of where they are. Just make sure you have a quality high speed internet connection and you’re all set!

This app has ads you have to watch even if you pay for the service. Super annoying in my opinion.

This app needs a TV listing. And not just what is on now. I’m not interested in seeing what YOUTUBE thinks I should watch. Give me a listing!
