Love it! Unlimited DVR, live local channels NBC, ABC, CBS, FOX. Watch on the go. HD AirPlay from IOS. Live sports. Awesome user interface. All for under $40! Almost flawless!

Awesomeness

My wife and I were on the fence for almost a year on weather or not to cut the cabe TV cord. We discovered You Tube TV about three months ago and the decision was easy. The interface is light years ahead of the clunky cable box and the fact that we get unlimited DVR for 9 months seemed too good to be true. Im angry we didnt do this sooner. Time Warner has been screwing us for years by constantly raising our rates and insisting we have a phone line (we never bothered hooking up) as part of our package. 200 plus channels of crap we never watched. The sad thing is the cable companies cant leave you and your bill alone. Just when you forget that youre paying too much for their crap, they raise the rate. Hey fat cat cable CEO. Yes you... The one who went to Harvard. The one with MBA in your title. Want to know why America is cutting the cord? Because youre too stupid to stop raising peoples monthly bill! Looks like your fancy Harvard degree didnt buy you common sense. You Tube TV is about to take you to school. Class Dismissed!!

It’s not worth 50 bucks for what they are offering first problem is the movie selection is very small and it freezes up after the ads and all the movies are recordings from live tv and so they blur and bleep the cussing and nudity which I think ruins the movie I do like that you can record any movies you like but you have to wait till they are showing on the tv channel and it’s just not worth that money for it.IF THEY WOULD LOWER THE PRICE TO AROUND 10 or 15 bucks then me and the family would keep it so we will be canceling and I guess staying with netflix and satellite and it’s cheaper for dish and we get every channel and movies and it has on demand and dvr so we can watch a movie if it’s not on and not wait like we have to do on this so please fix and lower the cost and a lot more people would keep it thank you

If they can add Turner Channels such as TBS,TNT, and Cartoon Network, that would be great. Also, please allow us to view NFL games on mobile phones on the go.

I’ve been a YouTube TV subscriber for several months and have been happy until recently. Since the most recent IOS updates, the app on my phone and iPad keeps freezing up and requiring multiple restarts. It’s very frustrating. If this isn’t fixed soon I will consider cancelling YouTube TV. Also, please create a fix for the viewer to be able to set the video quality permanently! Right now, the quality has to be reset every time the app is opened and every time a new channel or show is watched. Having to do this every single time is highly annoying, but if it’s not done you will burn through your ISP’s monthly data allotment super fast. Beware!

Like most people here, I switched from Cable to YouTube TV. Although it seemed great at first, I’m considering switching to Sling or PlayStation Vue as there are so many things that are frustrating: 1. It is really hard to see what shows are new and which ones are not. I don’t really care about reruns. I’m fine to record them since there are no options to avoid that but it would be better to separate new ones from reruns. 2. Once I’ve watched an episode, there is no indication anywhere that I’ve watched it. This means you have to remember which episodes you’ve watched and which ones you haven’t. This is extremely painful when you follow a lot of shows and have to look at the description of each episode to remember where you’re at unless you watch something like Jeopardy; in that case you’re totally screwed. 3. If you pause an episode, the playback position is not saved. Again you have to remember where you were in the episode so that you can fast forward to where you left (if you didn’t forget to check before pausing the day before). This makes things extremely frustrating when the show switched from DVR to On Demand as you get commercials each time you try to seek to where you left off the day before. 4. Switching from one device to another doesn’t work. You have to note where you are in the recording so that you can fast forward to that position and finish watching on a different device. 5. I’m not sure if this is an issue for all the Apple devices but if I lock my screen, then unlock it, I can no longer control my Chromecast. I have to close the app completely, reopen it, reconnect to Chromecast and then I can play/pause, fast forward... again. This happens on both on an iPhone 6 and iPod Touch 5. I’m very disappointed by Google. The functionality of YouTube TV are just not good except maybe for live TV. Anything regarding the DVR is pretty bad. This is not user friendly at all.

This is great service! The fact the have Bravo and all of the important ESPN channels (wisely leaving off LHN) has us ready to cut the cable. I love the fact you can get local channels. I did notice that when I traveled to Jacksonville FL that the local channels (ABC, Fox, NBC..etc) changed to be the Jacksonville ones. That isn’t a bad thing but something users should be aware of. The only thing missing is an app for the Apple TV. We would really love to have Food Network and the service would be perfect.

Says it will take a few moments to start bc Im using a first gen chromecast... YouTube works fine at high res tho... and in Google tv it never plays.. have to watch World Series from my phone instead lol

*I tried out YTTv on the free trial offer* Solid 5⭐️ for the content access of my local channels and network shows. Hopefully the movie selections will improve, but so far, the overall viewing experience of YouTube TV is pretty impressive.

I already pay $40 a month for YouTube tv and have to watch normal tv commercials, but now I have to watch additional ads imbedded in YouTube tv. F that.

Been waiting for something like this to come along.

The reception is blurred when watching on iPad or iPhone. Hate the commercials during the movies...big turn off for me

You guys nailed it. Puts Sling TV to shame by comparison.

It does have AirPlay but that is an imperfect solution at best. As far as I can tell, the website version (which requires Google’s Chrome browser) does not feature AirPlay meaning you must mirror your desktop to watch TV. Does work well with newer Chromecast devices and as of this review Google will ship you one free once your trial ends and you’ve paid for a full-month of service. But I’ve lived without cable for years now and do not see myself taking them up on the offer.

I love being able to watch my tv shows and favorites and being able to use the built in DVR in the app so I don’t miss anything I want to watch. I am so glad YouTube Tv is available in my region.

I was watching the broadcast of the World Series Game Four and it cut off during the 9th inning with the game tied. It cut the game to go to the Fox News Broadcast. Does not exactly make me want to pay for this service.
