Great to see an app that has good UX to a cable alternative. Price could be lower I think - in the 20s is more comfortable range. Like to see more channels represented from Business. Sports offerings are fantastic.

Nice try YouTube. I’ll pass after my FREE trial period is up and stick to koditv after cutting the cable.

This is a nice idea but it is not ready for prime time. Not nearly as robust as Firestick, certainly is no Netflix.

It’s a good app I like the local channel availability. It would be nice to have a app on PS4 / Xbox one other than that I love it !

Would love it if I were able to view whats upcoming without necessarily having to switch channels. Also would like the library to have the option of only collecting updates of shows that I might want to watch instead of recording whatever I add automatically. Great app though!

Really like the app and service so far. It would be really nifty if there was a timed disconnect feature so data wouldn’t accidentally be used when falling asleep.

App works “mostly”. It will typically lose the connection to the Chromecast during playback. I assume it will be resolved at some time.

It has too many adds at the same time!!! It buffers too much even with unlimited plan it always chooses 360p ? at least choose 428p

It will truly be a great app once it attaches directly to Apple TV.

Having ability to use AirPlay to watch video on a tv, having a native Apple TV app would best. Unfortunately use of the AirPlay feature during live shows (such as the World Series) causes video to freeze when jumping back/forward. This makes the app dysfunctional and completely unusable to me.

This is simply the best cut the cord streaming tv service! Easy to navigate and looks pretty! Only thing is I would love if this was on Apple TV! I have to airplay it at the moment...please bring it to the BIG screen!

This is a great, but it needs more channels. No TNT/TBS or Viacom channels.

The idea is flawed. Google does not understand traditional content. Hollywood does not understand Google. Cable streamed to you on your phone? $39.99/Mo? YouTube itself is 15 years ahead of this model. On top of that YouTube no longer monetizes content that “advertisers” don’t want monetized. Why not just advertise where the right eyeballs are. Advertisers should not cherry pick content. They do not know where their viewers are. That’s why we have data scientist and analytics. YouTube is being destroyed lured in to be killed by the traditional media advertising model. Once upon a time YouTube wanted to break away from the old model and swim in a giant blue ocean. This app is more of a beached whale.

I really like the app and I had a hard time giving it 3 stars but I usually re-rate as the app iterates. I think the UI needs work as it pertains to the channels and getting to the shows on those channels. We should not have to search for a show to get to it’s previous seasons. If we like a show we should have all of its episodes at our finger tips. The DVR needs work too, because I want to watch a show doesn’t mean I want it taped. Maybe I want a reminder or notification that it’s on.

Works great. Exactly what I want for TV at a much better price. Would very much like an app for Apple TV.

Handful of channels from the same companies, the inability to take screenshots or change your “home area” if you’re on the go (without contacting Google)... and all for $40. No thanks.
