Love it as a cord cutter esp the access to news and sports content.

The app is asking me to update so I can’t watch YouTube tv. I go to the App Store and it just gives me the open option, I click open and it asks me to update - round and round we go. Regardless, it’s gets a couple of days to sort itself out or it’s back to sling and I’ll cancel YouTube tv.

There are commercials and spotty seasons of shows. Who wants to watch a new episode followed by an episode from 3 weeks ago and not be able to watch any in between?!?!?!?! Also, it just plays whatever next. Rather than continue to play additional episodes of the show... it plays something else entirely. If this wants to compete with the other video suppliers.... it needs to seriously shape up and come down in price.

If you’re looking to save money go with this app. Great for sports fans. Mirrors to my hdtv and looks great. Can’t wait for the Apple TV App to come out soon. I’ll be canceling my ATT Uverse TV tomorrow. Thanks YouTube!

The whole thing is convenient but... it still needs work on the platform . For instance, i chromecast from my phone and the tv guide system is a bit difficult to just “browse” through. All you can see really is what is playing live. I cant easily see what’s playing in an hour on all channels. My second issue is with the recordings. If im at the end of a show and i pause to go so something(i have a daughter, bedtime stuff) and come back; and the same episode is playing after, it really messes with where i paused it. Then i have to wait til it re-records just to watch where i left off.

I have tried YouTube TV along with Sling and PlayStation Vue for the past couple months. Although PSVUE and Sling both have nice dashboards and interfaces, they do not seem to offer the reliability and clear picture that this has. The other huge bonus with YouTube tv is that you have unlimited recording and can play movies/tv shows on demand that have already aired. Now all it needs is a nice interface that doesn’t require crappy chromecast. Once that happens there really will be no comparison with other streaming services.

We have been waiting for this! You dont want cable, you cant afford cable, love college football and just want to feel normal at the water cooler on Monday morning? You tube TV is the answer! $35.00 for all the ESPN, Fox1, all the local stuff..Mind Blown ??

So far, they concept has proven genius, but I’ve noticed inconsistencies with the titles and the numbers of current and previous tv episodes. Other than that, great idea. Keep improving and you’ll definitely be successful.

Having to watch content on my 65 inch 4K HDR TV is a terrible experience with YouTube TV. It’s only available via AirPlay. Even if I wanted to watch a football game on my phone; I couldn’t because I have at&t, but don’t get me started on the NFL. Honestly this will be better once they come out with a tvOS app. Until then it’s just another below par Google experience for Apple users. 1 Star. I do not recommend.

This app randomly loses its ability to cast to my TV. Still havent gotten it working again. Netflix casts to my TV normally, so I know the ChromecastUltra is working and the problem lies with the YouTubeTV app.

Its evident that no thought went into designing the app for live sports. If you try to watch an event youre recording while its still ongoing it starts at the live time instead of at the beginning, which is where most people like to start watching. If you stop watching and come back, it again starts at the live time instead of where you left off. For an added bonus, while streaming to airplay, the app likes to randomly skip ahead to live. Not fun.

App became disconnected from chromecast every 10 minutes or so. After I restarted app several times I became frustrated and used my Galaxy S7, which casts flawlessly.

Update to below- after ios update and another app update >> all good now Old post Love youtube tv but latest update is not recognized/ so after updated the app still has “update” button and wont open. When go bsck to app store it shows app was already updated on ipad. Resatered ipsd. No change. Love the app but they blew it w last update vis a vis ipad

Not bad, but not worth 40 bucks a month, and if you are busy, don’t chance it or you will get automatically subscribed and charged.

Not bad of a selection. Needs more channels, but ok to start. Noticed that the Dallas area has more than my home area of Austin. Hopefully that will change.

I love this app. It’s nice to watch live television when I want.

Would love it if I were able to view whats upcoming without necessarily having to switch channels. Also would like the library to have the option of only collecting updates of shows that I might want to watch instead of recording whatever I add automatically. Great app though! p.s: Consider offering a student discount and/or reducing the price to be more competitive with the other streaming services. I really dont want to go back, but 40 is pushing my budget (college).

I’ve been mixing Sling and Spectrum, and switched to YouTube TV. It offers a great content package and with Chromecast, very easy to watch on mobile devices and switch to TV. I am enjoying having the content I need in a single platform.

In general, it does work. It has crashed once and screwed up voice to video sync several time. I still like it though.
