A conglomerate such as Google should have released an update for their new SUBSCRIPTION product already. The regular YouTube app was updated very quickly. Why is this app, where you have paying customers, not even updated yet for the iPhone X display? This doesn’t make the product itself seem worthwhile if they don’t even put this sort of effort in.

After using the app and YouTube TV service for about a month I am thrilled. Ive used this app in my home and on 4g and LTE with great results on both iPhone and iPad and now on my Samsung TV. Since my cable provider does not have FS1 I was going to miss some MLB playoff games but got them all.

This is a far superior tv service to Hulu tv however I have to restart my phone and chromecast several times a day to watch stuff. I have updated iPhone 7 plus and app. I enjoy the DVR, guide, movie selection, and not having to pay for Comcast very much! I cant give higher stars til they fix the bugs. I frequently have to disconnect and reconnect to chromecast just to unpause and then I loose my place. Its frustrating!!

Has performed consistently and well. It is stable, consume little battery and the features are very user friendly. My recommendations are; wish it was available on Apple TV / Amazon Fire Tv, could run in a minimized window and the fast forward / rewind features where stable when screen casting. Also wished the DVR allowed removal of specific episodes rather than retaining every episode. Still, these are small complaints that do not prevent me from recommending the service and app. They will mature over time and I am very pleased with YouTube TV.

First of all I am doing free trial to see if this app is worth paying 35$ a month. There is no difference from going to other websites and watch it for free with ads. It’s ridiculous it takes too much of a time.

Dont live up to their "Live" tv services. Dont recommend. Stick to you tv carrier, YouTube tv might be cheaper but does not have a lot to offer and has really poor customer service. THEY DONT LIVE UP TO WHAT THEY ADVERTISE. DONT WAIST YOUR TIME!!

This app is terrible. How can they even imagine it to be $40 a month. That is ridiculous.

I cancelled my subscription ater the free month trial and wont pay for the service until Roku and/or FireTV is supported. Until I can watch on big screen tv, without casting, Youtube live tv is useless for me. Also, I dont think Ill be willing to give up TNT or TBS, so i really hope that you tube will add them to their linup. and soon. Until then, I’ll stick to Sling TV for only $25/ month. My major gripe about the app is that I havent found any way to create favorite channels, allowing me to filter out channels i never watch. Very important to me. I also found the app initially very difficult to navigate and it needs to be simplified. I like the unlimited dvr, but i wish you could choose to record current/new/all episodes. It’s just too difficult to search through old episodes. Would also like to be able to delete recordings. App also needs an easy way to flip back and fourth between live channels.

It’s by far the easiest to use between the top three streamers I tried. It also had the clearest picture, especially with sports of the three. If It only had hgtv and food network for the wife it would be complete. Velocity would be nice too.

Now there one issue I hate and that is the cities where you can get youtube tv and that’s just what a d**k does why not youtube tv all be available in all of the USA if not do it worldwide except North Korea

It’s a good service if you’re always on mobile equipment. But not a great experience for home tv. Samsung has no app for it. Now, How do you cancel this service? There is no one to talk to no customer service

I. Quality Setting: A. Wish there was an overall quality setting &/or per user profile quality setting. (i.e. like Netflix) 1. We turn down the quality setting to use less of our metered data. 2. Can only change quality setting (program by program) when using wifi or cellular (cellular didn’t work, but seems to have been recently fixed). 3. Unable to change quality setting when casting to chromecast, so can’t use chromecast. 4. When watching On Demand programs, the quality setting automatically changes/resets when commercials come on and for each commercial (i.e. 2 back-to-back commercials). II. On Demand Playback: A. Video playback issues when returning to program from commercials. 1. Video/Audio playback freezes or video playback stops (black screen) while audio playback continues. a) Update: This seems to have been recently fixed. III. Channels: A. Wish the following channels were available: History, A&E, TBS, TNT IV. DVR: A. Would like option to record only new episodes. B. Would like to be able to sort by date (most recent first). V. Closed Captioning: A. Closed Captioning doesn’t pass through to TV/Monitor when using Lightning-to-HDMI adapter. Overall we like it.

Im using it with Google Chromecast which makes using the app easy. You get all the channels you need for a reasonable price.

I download it but then deleted it couse the service it is not available in Puerto Rico

Good for tv, especially live tv. My main gripe is that it doesn’t seem to support the cast feature. Most of my TVs support cast but this app by google only supports Apple devices so if you have an Apple TV you are gtg. Anything else not so much.

Does Google have any QA at all? Testing on this app is a joke. YouTube TV app loses its connection to Chromecast whenever my iPhone or iPad goes to sleep, upon minimizing, or when switching to another app — requires app restart. 100% reproducible! 0 stars.

I don’t get it. This service is like $34.99 which is a huge bundle deal. This service should be way better than Hulu or Netflix or Amazon some of which don’t do commercials when watching series. Why am I paying for something that is advertising to me when YouTube red should already cancel commercials at a cost under $12... these pricing do not make much sense. Shouldn’t we be getting YouTube original programming at the scale of Netflix for this insane price? I accidentally signed up for this service but I’m happy I tested it out cuz this looks like a huge rip off in comparison to other services
