I got the app due to the free trial. I’m glad I did not have to pay the $39.99 monthly fee since I feel it is super high to having to deal with ads. In addition, the commercials lag and are too long for such a high price. Another issue I found was that shows get randomly taken off. I also found annoying that I spent a day struggling trying to stream on my tv, I was thinking it was my tv when it was actually the app, I had to delete the app and re-download to get it to work again. Another thing I did not like was the little selection of shows and networks. I found myself only using 3 of the networks provided and watching one or two shows from each. But I believe this will change since it is a such a new app, so no biggie. However, the app is good due to being able to record shows and movies that go live. Plus the app gives a heads up as to what is coming up to record.

Over the experience is great. The app alerts constantly asking to setup notifications no matter what is setup.

not on fire tv so not interested. takes an act of congress to cancel.

I’ve tried sling, direct tv, and Hulu and now YouTube tv. It is by far the best one for me because the local live tv. The menu navigation, live tv preview, and rewind/pause/forward are all awesome. Steam quality has been perfect. The best part is the unlimited cloud DVR!! The only problem I’ve found is with the DVR, you can’t set it to record only NEW episodes. It could also use more customization in the DVR menu to let you choose how you see your recorded shows (date,show, channel, etc). As for channels I like the options but I would like to see more packages. I would like to be able to pick the channels I want to watch and only pay for them.

Tried to watch it would play a few min then do nothing but load . Now trying to cancel membership and can’t figure out how. Good luck if you order

The YouTube tv part of it is great. All of it works great. The problem is I have an amazon fire tv and it won’t let me watch it on it or hook it up through my phone to it because amazon and google are in some fight. Please make an app for the amazon fire tv

Streaming quality is great to mobile devices. Free chromecast is awesome perk and streams to TV great. Love the unlimited recording. Biggest improvement that’s needed in my opinion is that when you save a show for recording, it’s unclear which options are recorded v ones that are available to stream with commercials. If those can be put separately or made more obvious, would be great.

Having used Sling and Hulu, this is clearly the better choice. Slings app has too many performance issues, and now theres no need for Hulu because I can record everything with YouTubes DVR. Plus, I get all my local channels that I could not get with Sling and Hulu.

4 out of 5 due to price and ease of use. Once TNT is in the lineup it will be 5 Star all the way.

Firstly it’s not in my area you need to add it every city no just the biggest city every city

Would be great but there is no option to watch Network television in my area ie. ABC NBC CBS and FOX. They currently don’t have deals with my local affiliates but if you travel 50 miles they do. They should allow you to choose the network affiliates that are closest to you until your locals are available.

Had high hopes, but they fell flat. No Viacom channels makes the experience lacking. Way to many useless channels, just like regular cable. Also the subscription price is $40 a month, not $35. Sling has more channels and cheaper. Try out the 7 day trial and see for yourself. I stopped the trial after 2 days.

I tried this app and subscription for the week free trial. It literally disconnects every 15 minutes. Then says there was an unexpected error and asks if I want to send the report to YouTube. I like that I can use it off my phone. When it’s working the quality is great. But I can’t deal with dropping constantly. Needs work.

YouTube TV is really close. I’ll start with the pros: it has a really good 40 channels and there are few missing that I personally want. The mobile and desktop apps work great and are easier to find shows than any other app I’ve used including cable guide. The shows look great and load very quickly. The cons: there’s no Apple TV app yet so you have to airplay it, which means you can’t use your phone while watching. Hulu has a few more good channels, but their app ruins it. It’s really the lack of Apple TV support that is holding me back. As soon as that comes out, I’m done with cable.

I do wish there was a TV guide feature. I have been streaming us tv now for a long time, they have a real good TV guide feature. This YouTube tv is very easy to use.

They deleted the “Chiller” channel and didn’t seem to make any attempt tell anyone. If you sign up for a service and that service changes without notice then why does the price stay the same? .... (Even if NBC is shutting down Chiller it’s highly classy to inform your customers of such a change. When you added the Pop channel we all had to update our apps before you’d let us use it again and you had a big load screen telling us of the “great” news. It’s only fair to do the same when you delete a station. Thanks for the response, though). Also... This app is updated constantly yet there’s always a new bug to contend with. I have a freaking Chromecast so it’s all the company for software and hardware yet when I go to cast something the ad will play on my TV but the program I’m trying to watch won’t load/playback freezes like another reviewer mentioned.
