Great idea but Found lacking

The main reason we cancelled was because it did not have most of the channels we REALLY enjoy watching, like DIY, cooking, Hallmark, Turner Broadcasting, and a couple other channels that provide old shows from the 50s to the 90s we enjoyed watching, while growing up. As for the sports channels, theyre a complete waste for our money since we DONT watch any of them. Perhaps when we can replace the sports channels with ones we do watch well try it again.

Fort Worth, TX

Didn’t work for me. Paid $43 (with taxes) the first month after the trial. Was not allowed to cancel after the missed trial period. I was stuck with a service I did not use. They did not have CNN. I tried Sling for half the amount, and I am satisfied with the service. They do have CNN. I enrolled and received a free Roku. Two months payment was initially charged but that is what I paid for one month of U-Tube tv.

Love YouTube tv

I love the service, but it’s best used through an Xbox one or something like that. The app to chromecast connection is a little harder and slower.

DVR needs an update

I would LOVE it if the DVR had an erase/delete option after watching a recorded program. Also, having the ability to only record first run episodes would be great.

Affordable - Good TV

We are happy with YouTube tv however I have found that if you missed shows you have a small window to watch them. Example Scandal has 3 episodes available to watch at any time. I wish the season was available it would be a better option Spoiler alert... when you are watching episodes and one finishes it doesn’t play the next in line. It jumps to the most recent episode. The live tv is perfect for my family. There are a lot of sports which is what we primarily watch as a family. You can have up to 4 users which works for our house. We have a family size of 4 and each of us can watch at the same time. Even the same show! We did have to upgrade a couple Roku’s to download the app. It’s not available on PS4 & older Rukos. It is available on our 4K Smart TV The app works great while traveling. You are able to use it wherever you go and it picks up the local area for news and other local stations. We did cancel cable and kept internet. Our monthly internet charges increased by $10 due to (bundle prices) but even with the increase we are still saving $75 a month by switching to YouTube tv. For better streaming we did connect an Ethernet cable to the roku boxes. With the wire connect we no longer have glitches due to WiFi streaming. I have recommended many family and friends to purchase YouTube tv. It truly saves money and offers good service. $35 a month! Compared to over $100 a month for extended cable with no movie stations.

The Best Streaming TV Option

It may not be perfect, but compared to Vue/Sling/Now/Hulu live TV options, YouTube TV is miles ahead simply for the fact it can hold a live stream. Trying to watch live sports on those other services drove me insane, constant lag and buffering or degraded quality, while I never have an issue using YouTube TV. Since live sports are the only reason I want a live tv service, this has been a great switch for me. Why I tried this one last is beyond me!

Superb

YouTubeTV is the best streaming TV service in my opinion (I’ve tried DirectvNow, SlingTV, PSVue and Hulu Live) Pros: - Reliable Streaming (above all others) - Great picture quality (Sling by comparison has audio lag and jitters on my Roku and Android TV, you can really tell Google made full use of their mature traditional YouTube streaming platform) - Intuitive interface (Above all others, Directvnow is pretty good though) - Intuitive DVR with unlimited storage (Best I’ve used) - No Location Lock (PSVue and Hulu Live location lock which for me is a deal breaker) - Three allowable streams from any location (compared to two with DirecTVNow) - Six separate google accounts allowed per subscription (league of their own here for sure) - All of my local channels except PBS (Hulu Live and DirecTVNow are the same in this respect, Sling has no locals for my area) - Local channels change depending on where you are as you travel (My siblings get their local channels in the cities they live in and I can pick up local channels where I travel) Cons: No HGTV, Food Network or History Channel ( for the money you save over traditional cable I would recommend you get a Sling Orange subscription just for these at $20 a month) No PBS (no other service has this either, I think you can pay your local affiliate directly for access to live streaming with their app) Overall, YouTubeTV is by far the best streaming service. Biggest differentiators for me are the unsurpassed reliability, streaming video quality and traveling with local channels. Having been caught in a severe thunderstorm while traveling without access to local news YouTubeTV will be a big help next time since it will be like having an antenna TV in my car.

Great performance

Wow this app worked for me in the underground train in Bay Area.

Better than paying for cable

We are “cord cutters” and ditched our cable tv for this. Overall we are happy and don’t miss it at all. YouTube tv has pretty much all the channels we watch regularly (adding MTV would be nice). Would be nice to see them work on the streaming connection more. We have excellent high speed WiFi. But for whatever reason from time to time our picture freezes. That part is frustrating. Sustaining connection from the app to tv is a challenge. Being able to stop, forward or reverse a show you are watching is also challenging. It would be nice to have option to pick individual show episodes to dvr. Hope it gets better.

Too bad

Filled with ads i mean every five minutes an ad for for one minute and you cant skip them and too expensive for 40 a month

YouTube TV

I have enjoyed this app so far and the unlimited DVR capacity is great, my only issue is I would love to have a few more networks as part of the line up. I would like to have the MSG networks, SNY network and History channel networks as well as A&E. Those are the few I can think of at the moment.

I am not a techy person

This app is the hardest thing to figure out. For example, it lists movies. Some you can watch st any given time others you can’t but it does not tell. Not sure if u can watch previous episodes of a series either without having to wait weeks. Can you record? Maybe it’s my WiFi, Sometimes the streaming stops then goes to a commercial than to the appletv then back to the show. Totally frustrating

It’s ok

It’s difficult to use it doesn’t have the easiest navigation layout. If you are watching a show long enough my phone will disconnect from the tv so I have reconnect all the time and it messes up what I’m watching.

Awesome App!

I love to watch the games and my TV shows on my phone and big screen tv. I don’t have any complaints. I get almost every game that I want to watch, most movies. The DVR is awesome. It’s easy to rewind and fast-forward. They constantly make improvements with upgrades. It’s great.

Best online TV

Definitely the best TV streaming service, mainly because of unlimited DVR and nice looking app. The only thing I don’t like is the constant disconnecting my phone from chromecast. Let’s say I play a show on chromecast, if I lock the phone it usually disconnects from chromecast and then I have to close an reopen the app. Other than that it’s GREAT.

Perfect

I have a fiber internet connection and have tried various cord cutting options. YouTube TV for me seems to be the best, each one has it’s quirks etc, but YouTube TV seems to have the least from what I’ve tried. The channel selection may not seem as good as some of the other services, but that’s okay because I don’t want cable. For the price I pay it’s perfect! Thanks YouTube, Google for using technology to save people from high bills.

Too many crashes

Can’t believe YouTube can roll out this product

Can’t cancel membership in App

You can’t cancel your trial on mobile. At least not on an iPhone. The website says please download the app to do this. The app says please visit the website to do this. They both direct you to the other. Really dumb.

App keeps crashing

App crashes about 2/3 into whatever I am watching, nearly every time, and skips to the end of the program. The only way around it is to close and relaunch the app.
