Easy cancellation???

Dear god in heaven I spent hours cancelling my free trial subscription after 5 days so as not to incur any charges. Cancelled on my computer and also suffered through a tortuous phone tree to finally reach a human being who assured me I had properly cancelled and would not be charged, well guess what just appeared on my credit card statement. I’d give this service minus stars if I could. Now to waste some more time getting the charge taken of my credit card. Use at your own peril!

39$??

Why 39$ a month on top of already paying for YouTube red? No thanks

Works awesomely

So far my experience with this platform has been great. I havent had any streaming interruptions, the picture is clear and high-def. Very easy to use UI and lots of benefits such as the DVR. Goodbye cable! I highly recommend this and if you decide to switch just be sure to have a reliable internet connection first. And that it offers enough bandwidth speed, not that it requires much but its important so you get the best consistent experience. Side Note: I would however love to see more channels in the future. Specifically these: Comedy Central, Food Network, and Travel Channel. Please and thank you!

good content, buggy app

good content. finds lots of upcoming movies. interface is decent, but takes some getting used to. app is buggy. frequently messes up landscape mode, displaying only a partial screen of content. some show endings and the endings of some movies disappear, and it shows the content from the beginning. One has to restart the app and fast forward to watch the end. it does not find shows that appear on youtube (like PBS News Hour). scrubbing to fast forward takes some practice. hard to find the right spot when the thumbnails it shows are literally under your finger.

Game changer

Love the service and all the apps. I travel a lot so this is making my life so much easier! The new Apple TV app is great, game changer. Being a sports fan, would love the addition of BeIn Sports and ew York’s MSG networks, even at a premium. I would love to have the option to download a show from the library to watch offline when on the road. Would that ever be possible? Or is this a contractual issue with networks?

Simply the best

Love this app, simply, flexible and cheap. Truly watch regular TV anywhere, love the app in AppleTV and casting via chrome cast gives real look and feel of TV.

Keeps getting better

I tried other tv services like Sling, Hulu, Ps Vou, & Direct Tv Now. YouTube Tv by far is the best so far. It is worth the money!!!!

Bad

We did not like it at all. It keeps breaking for ads and the cancellation is very very difficult. Still figuring out how to cancel

Love it

Dont know what there is to dislike about this app. I love it!!!

YouTube tv

This a good app for those wanting to cut the cord. The unlimited recording hours is a huge bonus for this price. My only complaints are that we don’t get the food network, hgtv, and the guide isn’t the most user friendly. I haven’t figured out how they sort the channels. It is not alphabetical like most.

It’s $39.99 per month!

Should have indicated that it’s not free.

Way to expensive

This is Public Tv and they want $40 a month to watch public TV on your phone. I think it’s way to high for the market but let’s see where this goes. Big Fan of YouTube red though.

Upsetting

I was going to try YouTube tv but was not available in my area It was 29154 can you please fix it

Addicted!

I tried YouTube TV because I missed being able to watch live tv - as I had cancelled my ridiculously expensive cable over a year ago. At first I didn’t know if I wanted to keep it because of the cost...but I am now addicted! I love my YouTube tv! I love that it has unlimited DVR space, records ALL episodes of a tv show I like when it plays on any YouTube tv channel - so I can easily watch old seasons I want to catch up on/rewatch, and YouTube tv is always adding new channels or feels like. I’m a big fan. The reason why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5, is because I have some of the same problems other users have mentioned about the app. For example, the app freezes so I’m not always able to pause the show/movie I’m watching, and so I have to close and re-Iowa the app...which sometimes causes the show to start over. But these are small glitches that I’m sure the developers are working on fixing. I highly recommend YouTube TV....especially if you love TV but hate TV cable bills ?

Pass the tinfoil hat.

We really enjoy YouTubeTv, however Fox News is always choppy after about 15 seconds of watching. At first we thought it was just an issue with our connection, but after checking other channels we realized it is just Fox. MSNBC? Perfect. CNN? Crystal clear. We have reset our router, reset our smart tv, basically tried everything we could and Fox is still a broken signal. Based on what is going on lately with YouTube, Facebook, and Google censoring conservative content we are starting to think this may not be random. We are likely going back to cable very soon.

Great Channels, But Ran Out Over Internet Data

We were so excited when we found this app. We did the trial and then signed up for a membership. We loved the quality and the channels, although there were still a few we would love to see added. But near the end of last month we got a notice from our Internet provider that we had exceeded our data limit. We have never exceeded before. So the only thing we can attribute this to is the YouTube TV. It would be nice to know if there’s a way to control the amount of data used for this app. Otherwise we are going to have to cancel our membership and just go back to antenna tv.

Much Improved and Getting There

Update 3/2/2018: App improving oh so much. Keep up the great work. Another request for a future update - Please add support for the Apple Watch so we can Play, Pause and advance or rewind 15 sec just like the app for iPhone (and maybe add title being played as it scrolls across the watch display). These select functions for the Apple Watch would be a Godsend! Thank you. Update 12/7/17: Thank you Google for the iPhone X layout support - Much Improved. However, for all live TV and video, can you please add the “pinch to zoom” or “zoom to fill” feature like you do with YouTube so that the video fills the entire iPhone X screen? Much appreciated. Thank you! Thank you YouTube for optimizing the app for the new iPhone X screen. Love the layout and the way all the items pop out at you. I know you guys are working very diligently. However, please also add the “pinch to zoom” or “zoom icon at upper right hand corner” for full screen viewing regardless of the notch, just like you do with the YouTube app. Hopefully that will be incorporated soon so I can give you 5 stars! Thank you again and keep up the great progress.

Poor AppleTV implementation

I’ve been using this on my aTV for a couple weeks and while the content and quality is generally very good I feel like the app developer should be locked in an Iron Maiden for a day to get a sense of the agony the user interface inflicts on its users. After two weeks I still feel like I am fighting with the interface. It doesn’t conform to AppleTV well at all especially when trying to ten second skip or seek during playback. Exiting a video doesn’t stop playback in the background. You have to hit pause first or force quit the app. Please note that I pretty much watch recorded or on-demand programming as the amount of commercials during live TV only make me remember why I cut the cord in the first place. Ultimately the app has promise which is why I’m giving it three stars but if the UI doesn’t get streamlined to properly work with the AppleTV remote then I’ll probably end up canceling as my neighbors are getting sick of hearing me yell at my TV.

Gig

Just randomly downloaded this, must have clicked two buttons and less than a month, might have been a week and was just charged some random $40??? I’d expect that from some mom and pop store but not Google...I am probably one of your biggest fans....disappointed on horrible customer service here.
