Enrolled in YouTube TV with my Roku and found my current provider PlayStation Vue much better in terms of variety of options and navigation. Then went to cancel and it says to visit the website on my laptop which is terrible and doesn’t work. Then tried the app but it doesn’t work either. Then tried website on my iPhone and it too doesn’t work to cancel. I tried going to Apple subscriptions but it doesn’t show. I’m going to have to dispute the transaction for the first charge and cancel my card and get a new card to make sure I’m not charged again. So I’ll have to change all my other recurring stuff like Netflix, Spotify and PS Vue that actually work like they’re supposed to just to cancel the YouTube tv.
YouTube TV App Reviews
No PIP on ipad is a DEALBREAKER
I want to like the service, but as a frequent multitasker while watching TV I just cant. I was looking for a replacement for the horribly buggy DIRECTVNOW service, but at least DTN gives me picture in picture. Why doesnt YTTV? Guess my search continues. So annoying that literally no one does mobile TV right after all this time. These issues shouldnt still exist in 2018. Other annoyances include not being able to see a channel guide more than 24 hours out and no way to mark certain channels favorites or ignore ones you will never ever watch. Also I would like to see Animal Planet added.
DVR Upgrades
I’d like to see the option of recording settings. Where you can set it to record all episodes, new episodes, etc. Seems like a setting that should already be included. Thank you for coming to AppleTV though.
$39 per month lol
Might as well just buy cable and get more channels.
Too expensive
At 39.99/mo, why wouldn’t I just purchase basic cable service in the traditional way? There’s a reason so many of us cut the cord. There are only a few special event things I want to watch on TV in a given year. Otherwise, Netflix and Amazon Prime has plenty to keep me busy. How about you do a la cart pricing, which is what consumers have wanted for YEARS.
App is good, could use some improvements
Im a very satisfied YouTubeTV customer. The app could use some UX improvements, but overall it functions very well.
Great service, wish more platforms were available
This got us to finally cut the cable and works great on our phones, tablets and Apple TV, but I wish it worked on our smart TVs and PS as well since they all have the regular YouTube app... Hopefully google will develop those in the near future...
Great
This is a great app and a lot cheaper than cable tv
Commercials commercials. And more commercials.
The whole point of on demand TV is to get away from ads. Even when you record a show, not on-demand, the providers have still found a way to force you to watch the ads. We stream to Apple TV and each time the ads come on, the screen share disconnects. When we reset up everything, more F’n ads to re-watch. At $35/month, YouTube TV gets one-star until this is remedied. UPDATE: After fighting thru an un-useable UI on iOS for months, today was the final straw. During playback of a recorded LIVE event, any attempt to Fast Forward to skip ads (multi-tapping the 15 sec button), and the next thing you know you’re watching the LIVE moment you are trying to avoid. Think sports and seeing the final score when you were avoiding seeing the results. Tonight, we CANCELED our service as YET another event was not fully recorded. FAIL Youtube TV. Fail.
Love it.
I love the fact that you can just have live TV anywhere you go and cancel whenever you like. No more dealing with scheduling cable appt or waiting for installation. YouTube TV is LYFE
THE BEST APP.
THE BEST APP FOR STREAMING AND RECORD THE BEST SHOWS EVER THANK YOU.
Fake free trial
They didn’t honour the 7 day free trial as advertised, charged me within 1 day of opening the account, closed my account because I disputed the charges with Visa and won. I used the advertised screenshot to win my case. It even took 42 minutes for a chat reply from a Google Rep (not even kidding). They need to get it together.
Horrible, impossible to cancel
I have downloaded three apps to try and cancel my subscription, and I am tech-savvy. I’ve heard you can’t cancel unless you’re on a computer which I do not have. No reasonable solution listed online. Don’t waste your time (hours trying to cancel!) or money.
3/5/18 reinstated ads for a sociopath
Deleting the app
Very Few Channels
I just downloaded this for the free trial. Before I could even try it out, the setup wants to start billing me after the free trial, and I know how these things go. It would probably be next to impossible to stop. Also, I don’t see more than 2 or 3 channels that I watch. No Food Network. It has CNN and FOX News, but no MSNBC. There are LOTS of Sports channels. Why would I pay for stuff I don’t use?
Amazon TV
First Google took support off for the Firestick which was whatever. But you cant even cast this to a Firestick or TV? Deactivated my free trial after 10 minutes.
YouTube TV
Once they get a better on demand functionality with ff and rw this will be a phenomenal service. Love the channel lineup right now.
Cutting the Cord
YouTube TV has me believing that I can finally cut the cable. I live in a valley so antennas are iffy for reception. With a roku and this app that problem is solved though. I would like to see packages and “a la carte” options. I don’t watch sports but I would like other options. I’m optimistic about this service.
This is messed up!!
So I bought the app expecting me being able to watch my favorite shows (like Rick and Morty in particular). And so I go on the app and see that I HAVE TO PAY $40.00 PER MONTH FOR THIS TO ACTUALLY STREAM. I don’t recommend this to anyone. I expected for me to watch shows for free. Ugh what a waste of my time.
YouTube Tv
I YouTube Tv just don’t like to have the gps on this to play it
