The service and the associated AppleTV app have been the perfect replacement for my FIOS TV service here in New York. I’m giving it five stars simply because I’m so happy with the change— but there is room for improvement: 1. There should be the ability to hide channels you don’t EVER watch, or vice versa, being able to mark channels as Favorites, be able to scroll through only those. Currently in the Live guide, I have to scroll through endless specialized sports channels in order to get to the channels of personal interest to me. 2. The organization of the “Home” and “Library” tabs could be a little more intuitive. Once a show is watched, it should disappear from the “New recordings” list. I also feel like “New recordings” should also group themselves into per-show folders. 3. I find the behavior of the AppleTV remote to be a quite jumpy, especially when going left and right in between Library, Home, Live, and Search. 4. Please support single sign-on on the AppleTV to make using per-channel apps easier! The endless logins are tiresome. Can’t wait for some refinement to the UI, but overall still extremely happy with the apps and with the service!

the tvOS app is so bad as to be unusable. it frequently freezes requiring a reboot of apple TV. there’s no way to stop a stream from playing; you can only pause. this is terrible quality for a google product for which they charge money.

The YouTube TV app is great. Just started using it today since Turner Network was added. I’m using the family group with 4 family members and we use the YouTube TV app on our television (LG) or our Apple TV. There needs to be a better way to switch between profiles because the current method is tiresome. Currently, when Momma wants to sign into her profile, Momma has to type in the activation code on a computer or device first. Then, when Son, wants to switch to his profile, Son has to sign-out Momma, then Son has to get to a computer or borrow a device and type the activation code for his account. But when Son is finished watching TV and Momma wants to get back to watching something on her profile, Momma has to sign-out Son, then Momma has to get to a computer or device and re-submit the activation code all over again for her account. This has to be done every single time we switch between the 4 profiles in our family group. There needs to be a better way to switch between profiles since we are all under a family group. Make the profile switch similar to how Netflix or Hulu has their profile switcher.

Receiving all the networks I could need for sports and then some. Loving it since I first signed up.

Who wants to pay for cable when they can just have this? I streamed all the Olympics to my TV at work and loved it!

The app itself is great and its simple enough to cast. I really wish it had an easily accessible "last channel" button of some sort. Edit 2/14/28 STILL missing a last button. Would also be helpful to scroll on a schedule style, much like you can with cable TV guides.

Edit 2/14/17: The app is getting better and better which is always welcome. Definitely 4 stars now. They deleted the “Chiller” channel and didn’t seem to make any attempt tell anyone. If you sign up for a service and that service changes without notice then why does the price stay the same? .... (Even if NBC is shutting down Chiller it’s highly classy to inform your customers of such a change. When you added the Pop channel we all had to update our apps before you’d let us use it again and you had a big load screen telling us of the “great” news. It’s only fair to do the same when you delete a station. Thanks for the response, though). Also... This app is updated constantly yet there’s always a new bug to contend with. I have a freaking Chromecast so it’s all the company for software and hardware yet when I go to cast something the ad will play on my TV but the program I’m trying to watch won’t load/playback freezes like another reviewer mentioned.

This app on a tablet of any kind is probably the best thing to happen to Television in a good while. Adding more channels is great, keep em coming. Glad to see TBS and C.N.! It’s giving me (iPad pro2017) none of the issues that others complain about. Great app design quality and the streams take only a few seconds to load, rarely ever freezing. Occasional audio sync lag, but barely noticeable. My biggest gripe is I always want to swipe down from full screen to close it, since it’s such an embedded gesture in the overall UX. Like, every. Single. Time. Just adding a top-down swipe to minimize the window would be amazing. ..And of course, the obligatory ‘less commercials please’ - while Live, fine.. But when watching past episodes, that could be cut down a bit..(!) Nice job.

Love the eloquence of the application, simple well laid out easy to understand. Had a bit of difficulty with the app remembering my shows, will work with support to sort it.

YouTube TV has been great thus far. We have Google Fiber as well, and the load times have been almost instant with no skipping or stuttering. Quality of the stream is acceptable, and the channel selection is great.

When will fit the entire screen on iPhonex?

This is a great app! I love how easy it is to use and how many channels I can access with it. The only suggestion I have is that HBO be added as one of the networks available on this app. I would like to be able to access my youtube tv subscription and my HBO subscription from the same app. Right now the only additional network available is showtime and it is not as good as HBO.

It’s amazing for what it does. No more power outages and not getting recordings to worry about. No more snow on the dish. Even if your internet goes out you don’t lost recordings. The only thing I would like to see for improvement is a way to hide an episode once you’ve watched it so that it doesn’t show in your list. That way it’s easy to remember what you’ve already watched.

Can you add the option to Only Record new episodes? It would save you space/traffic, and would unclutter our recorded items. Thank you.

I have only tried this for a few days but my first impressions are great! I recommend it!

Thank you YouTube for actually listening and bringing service to Honolulu! So amazing. Now all we need is the PAC-12 networks and other sports networks and this is he best thing ever.
