Support the TV app, please.
YouTube TV is pretty good (and the unlimited cloud DVR is a killer feature unmatched by any live tv service). Paired with a subscription to Netflix/Hulu/Amazon or whatever streaming service(s) you like, it gives you everything worth watching and more. Even if it doesn’t give you 800 channels, it’s still better than cable.
There’s just one feature I really want to see with YouTube TV. I want it to work with the TV app on iOS so I can see all of my TV offerings. Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, and pretty much all the other major streaming services now support this feature, but not YouTube TV. If it did, I’d be able to see everything all at once.
And if not the TV app, then I’d like to see content available on Netflix, Amazon, and Hulu appear within the YouTube TV app mingled in with everything else labeled as to where they come from (like the cast-able content appears in the Google Home app).
I just want one app to browse all the content on offer to me.
Also, if I leave the YouTube TV app while chromecast-ing and come back, I can’t play or pause or control the content playing on my tv without disconnecting and reconnecting. The issue isn’t present when casting from the YouTube app, so it is entirely possible to fix. Please fix it.
