Painful at times

The basic problem with YouTube TV, the display requires a phone or tablet (or computer) operate.

Yet it feels like it wasn’t designed for phone, showing only a 1+ full huge logo for a show on the home page. They could easily show six or ten items, but no.

Using a device for TV control also means if you have a secured device with a pin code (and if you don’t have a pin code, WHY NOT?), every time you want to simply jump forward to past a commercial you need to:

unlock your phone,
make sure the app is open,
and then finally jumped forward button.

Compare this to using a normal cable DVR where you pick up the remote and you push the jump forward button.

Via HDMI CEC the Chromecast, can be told to pause or resume, but jump forward (or fast forward or rewind) just isn’t there.
